She felt, somehow, oddly suddenly awkward. As if that were the last thing she were expecting to hear, even though by all means she should have seen it coming. She was the same herself, she had found herself pining after other girls beside Hatsumi, but she had only ever gotten nearly close enough for merely a kiss from one of those girls, and that was because she was practically identical to her sister, she had to admit. But even the other girls she felt for, they all had similarities to her sister. Kuiru had her odd red eyes, and Lilith, she was Eve's own sister, and though she was annoying, Hazuki was fond of her. And though she'd thought nothing of it at the time, she felt truly bad now about shoving her aside as she had. But she was in a panic, seeing Hatsumi after so long, after chasing her so long, she couldn't have thought about anything but her if she'd tried. But now, she wished she could somehow reach Lilith too, to apologize for that.
So she understood girl problems, very well actually, but boy problems... Well, she supposed she had to say what she would say to a girl, she had no idea what else to say. She looked down at him from her spot, hands behind her head. "Zuko... I've traveled across... Probably over a dozen worlds. And I've also become fond of people, and when I left their worlds, there were more than a few that I was still... Worried for. There was a girl from a very basic, primal world. She and her people lived in caves and decorated themselves with bones and such. She didn't even really speak my own language, only under a spell or something, but she was... Special to me. And I wondered if she wouldn't be better off in another world, her own was so dangerous, but..." She sighed lightly. She wasn't used to talking this much, and decided that meant she should try to wrap it up. "Some things aren't meant to be... Many things aren't meant to be, in fact. Even if you really want them to be, sometimes..." Her voice took just the slightest pitch of sadness for a moment, in remembrance, though she apparently forgot who she was talking to for a moment. He spoke so easily to her, it brought something out of her too. She straightened up and cleared her throat. "All the same. I am sorry something painful has happened to you..." She was trying to pick her worlds unselfishly, but she wondered why she felt that way anyways. She wondered why it was Zuko of all people making her feel that way, that familiar but also definitely strange way.
