Cream hovered down the steps of the Hotel, waving happily to a couple of residents through their windows as she went, before beating her ears downwards again and rising upwards into the sky, catching a nearby air current and holding it. It took a little more effort than usual, what with her having to Carry Doctor Venture's box, but she was sure that she had carried much heavier things before. Like Sonic.
The lights were bright and glowing across the outside of the hotel, the huge clock tower overhead shining up at her, almost friendly like. You would never have guessed that it had a tendency to be so unfriendly sometimes.
She beat her ears to take her across the gardens and hovered there for a little while before turning north in the direction Doctor Venture had pointed her. It was darker over that way, away from the bright lights of the hotel and the city mall and open streets, but Cream was sure she wasn't afraid of the dark. Not anymore, after what Miss Chidori had taught her.
Sonic would have called this a night for running. Well, for Cream it was a Night for flying. From so high up she could gaze down upon the city as if it were constructed of nothing more than model buldings in a make believe town... It was nice... usually, she only places because she had things to do and people to see... It was nice to fly, just for the sake of flying.
But she couldn't let heself be distracted by things like that, Cream reminded herself. She had a job to do.
