Matt had told him never to kill or hurt again, but he hadn't hurt the rabbit! It had just been laying in the field, apparently left by the bigger birds of the area, and somewhere in the back of his mind he remember that a rabbit's foot was supposed to be lucky. And, lo, the feet were in perfect condition- so there was nothing to fret over! Mukuro Rokudo. Ro. Mukurokuro. Kurokuro? Even better, the other was on the lowest level, and the former heartless only had to count the windows up stopping to knock on one. Sure, he'd (sort of) betrayed a few of his other promises, but he tried to stay out of the Hotel--! And that was what mattered. Back, and fine, and remembering, and-
Kurokuro would have to be glad for the luck. He'd only found one rabbit, a falling-apart thing he'd cradled like a baby, smurring murky brown on his clothes and arms but not caring much, because any other position, something inside the rabbit (that didn't matter: the heart and stomach was gone) would fall out. Which was unlucky. He'd almost brought a gopher's paw, but Luck probably didn't like it much when it got cheated by a gopher instead of a monkey... Oh well. He'd tried-!
