Gabriel turned his head, once again. This time there was actually a slight hint of surprise in his eyes, though he half-closed them skeptically, trying to figure out if this girl had just stood up to him.
He smiled. There was nothing positive about his smile, though. It was actually somewhat... off.
"How much you care?" He asked. "How much you care?" There was no apparent anger in his voice, only inquisitive emphasis on that last word. He laughed. "You have no idea, you poor, silly little girl." He held her arm with considerable strength - though nothing comparable to what he could have achieved in his immortal state. "Listen to me. No, listen to me. I don't know who you are. And I'm not your friend. You have no right to come here and demand anything from me." His voice became hoarse every now and then, gritting his teeth in anger. His patience had just reached its end. "You will leave. I have no business dealing with your emotional problems."
After a moment of staring into the girl's eyes with that unrecognizable expression, he decided to let himself relax. He let go of her.
"The Gabriel you knew is gone. Forever." He turned away. "Now go."
