The Buffet
L peered around the door frame cautiously, surveying the room before hurrying as quickly as he could over to the food, grateful that his costume was both dark and not particularly restrictive. He'd just get some cake and then he could leave; go back to his room where he was more comfortable and watch on the cameras. That was how he'd prefer to 'attend' a party; there was no reason to be here in person. Maybe if his friend had still been here, but he wasn't. And even if he had been, he would have been far too busy for L at an event like this.
