Duo hooked his legs around Near's again and tilted his head back, watching the world go by them upsidedown and gauging the distance between them and the water and them and the shore. Considering the slope of the ground under the water he remembered from the last time he was here, he figured that they were probably far enough out that he wouldn't break his neck against the seafloor if he didn't manage to pull up in time.
Then, with a little tweak to Near's ear and a quick, "Thanks," over the sound of the wind, Duo released his arms and his legs a second later. "Meetcha back on shore," he called as he slowly straightened himself out, arms stretching out before him, braid whipping out behind, wings pressed tight to his back, and crowing in adrenaline-fed delight just before he hit the water.
