He held the egg without noticing he was actually smiling. He liked the feeling of how warm it felt in his hands. It was real, and alive. He passed the egg from a hand to another gently, just to guess how much it weighted, and somehow know how much time was left for it to hatch. He remember how it was doing that, when he got himself into breeding chocobos. It was an awesome feeling to see the little things trying to get out of the eggshell, kwehing when they actually recognized voices, and warking when they were hungry or afraid... all trembly and cute... yeah there wasn't other word to describe them, they were totally cute, and Cloud was a sucker for stuff like that even if he didn't show it much.
"I just... don't get how it's that it is here... that's all..." He turned to Vash still with that wide smile on his face. "Well, it's indeed too small but, hum maybe it'll get bigger." He shrugged as he caressed the egg absently. The egg was in fact, small, the smallest he had seen, and if he had never seen one, he would have confused it by something else.
