"…and today, SHIELD announced their intentions to open their first transport station outside of New York City. This will be the first of fourty eight transport stations in the continental United States which SHIELD will use to transport illegal unregistered heroes back to their prison at SHIELD Headquarters in New York. Controversy over this unseen prison continues to stir as the agency prepares to open the stations and armed national guardsmen continue to stand by at each location."
Scott's eyes narrowed as he watched the flatscreen in the corner of the bar. The sound was down and he had to squint and listen carefully in order to read and hear the words the reporter was saying. He missed a word here or there, but he got the gist of it and he didn't like what he was hearing. It was expected news, but that didn't make it welcomed. He, along with the majority of the American public, hadn't been given the privilege of seeing this prision Tony Stark had constructed, and what he knew about it he only knew from information Remy and a few others had managed to pick and sneak from the SHIELD officers who routinely scouted around District X. He knew it was large, he knew it existed outside their current reality, and he knew that Tony Stark wanted him in it.
He was waiting for Ororo and keeping his head down as he did so. He hadn't looked like himself in ages and though the sports bar was a little further uptown than they'd been venturing of late, Scott wasn't too worried. Ororo wore an image inducer and had been since they'd left the mansion. As long as they didn't draw attention to themselves, a short meeting would be fine. Possibly even better that they were meeting outside of District X; somewhere unexpected.
It wasn't long before Scott saw Ororo walk through the door. It had taken him awhile to get used to her brown hair and brown eyes, but in the end it was all for the best. He nodded towards her to catch her attention and call her over.
"Hey," he said, once she'd sat down. "Sorry about the walk uptown, but Stark has Knight and Wing on us."
