She'd seen what happens to stupid people with fireworks. She never understood the fascination with things that explode and trying to stick them near things that were flammable or potentially painful. She would never understand.
But she went to the fireworks to watch and found herself fascinating. She perched up on the railing of the boardwalk, away from everyone else, head tilted and eyes wide.
