Pepper (and George) & Clint Barton
Food wasn't too high on the priority chain for Clint Barton. All he'd wanted was a few pieces of fruit which had gone as fast as he'd grabbed them. It wasn't as much fuss as he'd expected. Pepper had a tendency to go big for Tony yet she was considerate enough to take it easy on Steve. They were all ready for some fireworks, but would Steve want something big and flashy?
He wasn't that kind of guy.
A Boardwalk evening which ended with cake and fireworks was casual enough to keep the captain happy; Clint was glad he could come without bringing anything other than a few knives to keep himself feeling secure. His bow often felt as if it were his life instead of his way of life. Laying the damn thing down for a while was its own kind of holiday break.
He'd wandered the beach until he had seen Pepper settle herself with a boy, both of them with popsicles which were melting in the sun almost faster than they could eat them.
Smiling, he made his way over to ask, "You two having a good time today?"
