Arthur heard Lorena moving around in the kitchen. He knew it was difficult adjusting to life without water. They both had similar experiences now, starting on land, going into water, and then returning to land. It was the hardest thing, having to get used to water and having to get used to air.
He got out of bed and pulled his jeans back on, and then walked to the door that led to the main room of his apartment. He paused before opening it, and took a breath. He was nervous, to be honest. Comforting a friend was much more important than stopping a villain. He pushed open the door and walked to the kitchen.
He had to avert his eyes again, though he couldn't stop the initial glance at her nearly-nude frame. Strike two, waterboy.
"Lorena?" he called out before he reached her. When he did, he put a hand on her (wet, he noticed) shoulder. "Are you all right?"
