Kennet huffed out a small sigh through his nostrils. His larger hand curling around one of hers. "I can continue my inspections later." Blue eyes rose to meet hers. His face had changed so many times over the time they had known each other. The human shell meaning little to the Djinn within, though his face had not changed since his arrival at the Cirque's open.
"I told you because I know you would understand. I have given in a handful of times to my old self- took a witch to bed to regain my energy through her magic. But I have rare moments when I am allowed to let this form go." He paused. "I wish for you to be happy here. Do not go about your time here with anger. I just- I do not get time to breathe."
Kennet ran his fingers over Aria's cheek. She could show whatever emotion she wished on her surface but he saw secrets, he knew the dark pasts of the employees he interacted with, and though he could not read thoughts he understood their minds by understanding their darkness.
