Who: Maddy (Could be open to Issac, if you wanted to poke in her head, XIII) What: The hardest part is letting go of your dreams When: May 14, late Where: Med tent, mostly inside Maddy's head Etc: Uh...this might be sort of disjointed and weird, but it wouldn't leave me alone until I wrote it down, so...have some Maddy stuck in her own head.
For over two days, Maddy had been unaware of the goings on of the Cirque. She lay in a bed that wasn't hers, being tended to without ever being aware of it. Sometimes, she'd change position slightly, but apart from that, she didn't move unless someone else moved her. Her mind had finally had enough and assumed control over her body, shutting down everything but the most necessary functions. So Maddy slept, and breathed, and sometimes she dreamed.
She had been sure, for a while, that Issac had been in her head with her, but it was trying to hold water in her hands, nothing stayed solid for long. Her thoughts and feelings had no filter, it was like being submerged in her subconscious all at once.
'Come on, this isn't that hard-'
'Issac's watching, you can't screw this up-'
'Make him want you, make him beg, make him crawl, they should all do it-'
'What good's a hypnotist who can't master her own mind-'
'It's just a little blood, it's a headache, come on, push through it-'
If she'd been awake, Maddy would have stuck her fingers in her ears and started humming, just to drown out her own thoughts. But she was locked within her mind, forced to deal with every thought she'd ever shoved down and locked away. She wanted to wake up, she wanted to run away from all the things she refused to deal with, but it was impossible. Her brain wasn't going to let her wake up until it was good and healed.
