Maybe he was still worried about the dungeon comment.
"Somehow, I doubt you're ever a good boy," Magnus murmured. He didn't bat an eye at the mention to Lucien's father. He recognised the name, but when you lived for centuries, people had to be very special indeed for you to remember their names, or pay them any attention. Like this pretty thing.
He placed his fingertip under Lucien's chin, tipping the boy's head up. "I'm flattered," he said wryly, "but just how much have you had to drink tonight?"
