"Who knows?" Buffy wondered, rolling her eyes and trying not to seem as effected as she was by everything that was this Daniel/Lucius transition. Part of her wanted to convince herself that he'd never been Daniel, that it had been a lie, and that there wasn't a thing she could do about it. But that would giving up on a friend, and it wasn't in her blood to do that.
And the Ambrose talk was probably inevitable, but it was indeed a welcome change. "Ambr- Master Ambrose. Right. Yeah. He's something alright," she answered, a little smile coming across her face. She didn't know what she would've done in Crescent Hills without him. "He's all kinds of decent. His only notable flaw thus far is pretty having the technological knowledge of a rock."
