Piper gave him her full attention as he spoke and tried to do just that. She wasn't really mad at him anyway, more mad at herself and the insecurities playing on her emotions. It had been too damn long since she'd had to deal with any of this and she was definitely out of practice. "You're right," sighing and mustering up a smile. For a moment Emerson looked like he might kiss her and she sucked in a breath of anticipation but it didn't come. You were so damn close, dummy.
"Well, from the little I know of Tabitha, she seems the formal sort," and the brunette wouldn't admit that looking fancy in a place like this was something else. Shaking her head as they took a few steps in line, she said, "Shh, you look damn good and I don't want to hear otherwise."
