"You hurt yourself? Well that's.. something that happens to a lot of girls I think. Physical pain is sometimes better than feeling so nervous and scared, is that how it feels?" That's what Gideon always told her, or what she read about people who hurt themselves. She didn't exactly understand completely, but she supposed that it was a, at the very least a semi-reasonable, response to what happened to themselves.
Glad that Olivia didn't flinch when she touched her, she smiled gently as she rubbed lightly before stopping. "Thank you, I think you're nice too, Olivia." She didn't want the girl to feel badly about herself, and besides, so far Olivia had been nothing but nice. And she tried to be as truthful as she could possibly be.
Her eyes widened, "Tuesday? Oh dear. You have to eat, honey. It's not good to not eat. You could get sick. What kind of things do you like to eat?" She asked, as she opened up the car so that they could get in and head off. She'd find some place that was open, depending on whatever Olivia wanted to eat.
