Jeremiah's old TV set, Lucille, had been steadily preparing to die. He could tell that old age was getting to her. The reception wasn't quite as alright as it had been just a year prior. It was pretty much rotten, which resulted in most of his TV being watched via a laptop and illegal downloading. So, as a result of the near death Lucille, Jeremiah had headed to a nearby department store under the pretense of merely browsing for a new TV. He didn't really want to replace Lucille, but it was pretty much long past due.

So, (sort of) reluctantly, Jeremiah was browsing the TV sets available in the department store. Maybe he'd find one to take Lucille's place so she could retire, who knew?
