Welcome to the snazzy userinfo for Chenzel Elite! Chenzel Elite is a creative community, initiated to provide Chenzel fans with a community for well-written, high-quality fanfiction (and other fan creations) and a comfortable place to discuss our admiration for the totally gay love between the Broadway actresses Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. Welcome!

Disclaimer: We do not know, nor do we intend to ever pretend to know either Idina Menzel or Kristin Chenoweth, as well as any other past or present cast members of Wicked: the Musical. Everything written is for entertainment only and not intended to be disrespectful or harmful to the people we genuinely admire. The works in this community are about what we view as the characters of Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel. Kristin and Idina have no affiliation with this community. Neither do Julia Murney, Kendra Kassebaum, Michelle Federer or Eden Espinosa for that matter, but they really want to.

In order to keep the quality of fanfiction as high as possible, Chenzel Elite has a special system for how posting to the community works.

Every member who joins is able to view all posts and comment to them, so everyone can enjoy the fandom love.

In order to be able to post to the community, whether you'd like to post fanfiction, artwork, or offer to be a beta, we have a pretty easy application process to go through:

1. Go to this post and follow the instructions there, filling out a short survey about yourself. We'd like to get to know our members!
2. If you're applying to post fanfic, give us a link to where we can see an example of your work.
3. The mods will review your fic, and voila, you will be a full-fleged, posting member of Chenzel Elite!

If you're not a fic writer or beta and have a different reason for wanting to post (say you make fanvids, fanart, or just want to update people on breaking Chenzel news), feel free to fill out the initial survey and just tell us why you'd like to be able to post, and we'll talk to you! We're always looking for innovative people who come up with great new ideas for fan creations!

Important!:

You may only post what you're approved for! If you apply for fic posting, you will be allowed to post fic and any other things if you want. If you initially applied for beta or videos/graphics,etc and NOT as a fic writer and start posting fic, it will automatically be deleted, fabulous or not.

Also, when you apply for posting to chenzel_elite, be aware that we want to keep posting active on the comm, so if you plan on starting fics and not finishing them, please don't apply.

If you applied for beta or video/graphics, etc. and would like to start posting fic, you must re-apply on the survey post as a fic writer and go through approval!

And just for clarification because some people have been confused, you do not have to be approved to join the community, you only have to be approved to be able to post! Commenting on entries and joining the community is open to everyone!

Ah, now for the fun part: the rules.

1. Just a general rule for all communities: be nice. We're all trying to have fun here.
2. No trolling, no flaming. Pretty self-explanatory.
3. Feel free to give constructive criticism on fanfiction or other posts, but make sure to be constructive, and not just a jerk.
4. If we do find you being a jerk, we won't hesitate to ban you.
5. Remember, this is a community mostly for fanfiction and other fan-created works about Chenzel. If it's not related to Kristin or Idina, it doesn't belong here. We have a sister comm for all the Wicked actresses. See

WHEN POSTING FIC!

Number one, LOCK your entry.

Number two, please format your subject line like this:

Title by author name, rating (i.e. Chenzel is So Hot by boysnoggage, NC-17)

If you're posting a series, use this format:

Title by author name, rating, chapter (i.e. Chenzel is So Hot by boysnoggage, NC-17 1/3)

Please don't alter the subject line format in any way..it makes it easier for us to arrange them in the memories.

ALWAYS, ALWAYS LJ-cut your story (yes, even if it's a drabble), and please use this format in the actual post, since it makes it pretty and quells

Before posting a fic, please make sure that it has been reviewed by a beta and is cleaned up and ready for posting. Don't have a beta? Try contacting one of the members of the community who has been approved as a beta in the list in the memories.

Here at Chenzel Elite, we have a goal of constantly enabling all members to engage in what goes on in the community, not just those who have posting access! Therefore, we have challenges and games everyone can participate in.

Monthly Fic Challenge

Every month, the mods will hold an exciting fic challenge for fic writers to participate in. The challenge will be different every month, and will rotate between the mods. Most often, it will be something like a five word challenge, picture challenge, or theme challenge.

The challenges will always be introduced on the 1st of the month and due by the last day of the month. Pretty self explanatory. The submissions for that fic challenge will be linked to in the post for the next month's challenge. If you are writing a fic for a challenge, please make note of it in your summary/note when you're posting it, so we can add it to the memories.

To participate in the fic challenges, you do NOT have to have posting access. Send your fic to chenzel.mods@gmail.com and it will be posted for you. This is also a great opportunity to be invited as a regular poster if your fic is outstanding and well-received.
