Hey guys, Brooke here, with character number three! Today, I bring you Rick Beasley, Appleby Arrows fan club president!
Though Rick is Muggle-born, he became a fan of the Arrows during his first year at Hogwarts when his best friend introduced him to the sport and to the team. When they graduated from Hogwarts, his best friend, Barney, was the fan club president, but after he died in the Battle of Hogwarts (Rick was hiding with Muggle relatives in the United States), Rick took over the position in honor of his best friend.
When he was younger, Rick was idealistic - he wanted to become a mediwizard, he wanted to save the world, but when his first and only real girlfriend cheated on him when they were 19 (they had been dating since fifth year) with a significantly older womanizer, Rick quit his mediwizard training and took a few years to travel the world, completely changing his image. He was now a playboy himself, with a penchant for suits to boot.
You can summarize Rick in one word - awesome. (He's basically Barney from How I Met Your Mother, but an obsessive quidditch fan and a wizard). He's afraid of being alone, but doesn't want to be rejected like he was when he was nineteen, so he doesn't let any female get too close to him. Rick works for the ministry of magic, but to tell you the truth, no one has any idea what he does, just that he makes a lot of money and takes off a lot of time from work to have fun. Rick has two goals in his life: getting laid, and having fun. Thus, he's a great wingman and love to spread his gospel to any willing disciple.
Rick can use some friends (he pretty much hangs out with people a few years younger than him - he's 31 - so he can teach them his way of life), some girls, and anything else you can think of. I think Rick will be a really fun character to have around, so if your character wants a fun friend, let me know! |
