Summary: Just another day at Obscurus Books, until the storm hits and traps people inside.

Gareth looked around the bookshop with pride. Children were sitting enthralled by Marigold and her husband as they performed flashy magic tricks. Logan was hosting a small cooking class, teaching everyone from housewives to retired Unspeakables (though Gareth though it was highly unlikely that there were actually such a thing as retired Unspeakables) how to bake enchiladas. His Maddie was graciously signing copies of her latest best-seller Emerald Isle, and open mike poetry night would start in a half hour, followed by a rousing karaoke contest. All in all, Thursday was shaping up to be a wonderful, and profitable, night for Obscurus Books.

Sammy looked up at his people sadly, and Ron couldn't bring himself to bring the dog to the puppy pen, not yet at least. Instead, he picked the puppy up and held him snuggled in his arms as he grinned at Harry's question.

"Of course," he said, though he had no intention of actually singing. Not unless he was a hell of a lot drunker than he was now. "I'm singing the Weird Sister's Love You Like an Incubus just for you Harry." He winked at Neville. "And Nev's doing backup, right?"

Neville snorted. "Not bloody likely. Not without a bribe anyway. But don't let me stop you. In fact, I think you and Harry should do a duet."

And if they did that he wanted a front row seat, and maybe a silencing charm.

He looked towards the entrance. "Maybe I should have gone to Brazil and lain on the beach." Shaking his head at that pipe dream, he smiled. "Did see your building. Did I tell you that. Think I like the flats there more than mine. More people sized."

Harry was laughing at Ron when he said he'd sing,Love You Like an Incubus. He was very glad he knew Ron didn't sing in public without a lot of alcohol in him. Very glad. "I can bribe." Harry told Neville, "Trust me. Lots of good bribes."

Sammy leaned over in Ron's arms to lick Harry's face which made him chuckle. "Sammy likes me best." Harry teased Ron. He perked up at Neville's mention of beaches. "I want to go to a beach. Never been." Harry then chuckled, "Yes our flats are nice. Much more people sized than your insanely large flat. Could fit about ten other people and puppies in there."

Ron made a playful, annoyed noise in his throat and glared at Harry. "There will be no bribing of anyone but me by you," he said, and then realized that maybe was what Harry had meant all along. "And no one by you and me need to know exactly what those bribes entail. Unless Charlie is here so we can see exactly how many shades of red he can turn in under a minute." He all but rubbed his hands together in glee at the thought.

"Nope, I'm his favorite," Ron said, more out of habit already. "Going to bring him to the puppy center though, so he can play with his friend Wally. Why don't you two get us drinks while I'm gone?"

Neville rolled his eyes at both of them. "First of all Harry doesn't have enough galleons in his vault to make me sing. Second, there's no other bribe I'd take from him."

Neville couldn't resist adding.."Bet Charlie and I could make you turn red faster."

He looked at Sammy, "you haven't told them that whoever is feeding you or petting you at the time is your favorite?"

He looked at Harry as Ron headed off, "we get to pick our own drinks tonight?" he teased.

Laughing at Ron's antics Harry shook his head, "I meant money." He paused and smirked, "Either that or inside information on Charlie. Ron and I have that in spades." Harry was pretty sure he knew some things that Ron didn't even know.

"Not getting into that bet." Harry told Neville, Ron and Charlie can go after each other while you and I just sit and eat popcorn."

Sammy barked at Neville's comment and Harry scratched his ears before Ron took him away. "Apparently. I'm in the mood for a butterbeer. So Ron can be too." Harry said as they ordered drinks handing a bottle to Ron when he returned.

Ron found it harder than he though leaving Sammy behind, even though the puppy was rapturously happy to play with Wally and make friends with the other dogs. Some were more than four times Sammy's size, but other than a few curious sniffers, they seemed mostly harmless. Once he was certain that the big shaggy dog he was sure belonged to Terry Boot wasn't going to eat Sammy, he gave the puppy a last longing look and headed back to Harry and Neville.

"Ohh, butterbeer!" he exclaimed, grabbing the bottle eagerly and drinking half of it in one gulp. "Fuck, I've missed butterbeer this week. Nothing but water and protein bars towards the end there. I thought I was going to starve." He looked toward the counter and his eyes lit up when he saw the eclairs. "I'll be right back."

He quickly ordered half a dozen--one each for Neville and Harry and four for him--and headed back. "Dinner is served," he announced proudly, like a lion presenting a fresh kill to his pride. The fact that it was the lioness who actually did the hunting escaped him at the moment.

Neville did a double take at the mention of 'inside information' on Charlie, and then forced temptation back down. After all, it was better to get to know Charlie at his own pace, he hadn't been disappointed yet.

"Works for me," he told Harry, "could be a fun show." And Charlie would win, but he wouldn't say that to Harry.

Neville orderd Hot Chocolate, and carefully sipped around the whipped cream. "Protein bars?" He'd heard of them but never seen one, much less tried one, "that doesn't sound very appetizing."

"All the major food groups right here." he sighed contendely. "Chocolate, cream and more chocolate. Guess Gran and Mrs. Weasley might not agree, but they're not here. Right?"

Harry saw the look Neville gave him when he mentioned inside information on Charlie and grinned though he didn't say anything else. Neville would take him up on the offer if he wanted. "Definitely a fun show." He said instead.

Wrinkling his nose at the comment about protein bars Harry said, "They're not. I've tried them. My advice to you, never try them." Harry told Neville as he took an eclair of the plate and quickly ate it before grabbing a second one before Ron could stop it.

"Nope they'd both yell which is just why we won't tell them." Plus Harry and Ron at least had eaten at home before coming out.

Ron pouted when Harry stole another eclair, and quickly moved the rest of the plate away from his grabby-handed boyfriend. "Those're mine," he protested weakly, knowing that if Harry really wanted another eclair he wouldn't stop him, and knowing that Harry knew that too.

He was very glad his mother wasn't there though, or she might have tried to get him to eat some of that fruit he'd spied on display. He shuddered at the thought, and turned to Neville. "What they don't know won't hurt us," he said as he had many times before.

"So, Nev, have you been keeping busy? Mum said she was going to owl you about helping her put in a new garden out back at the Burrow." He was pretty sure that was Molly Weasley's thinly veiled attempt at interrogating Neville, but he wasn't going to tell Neville that. Some things were best left unsaid.

Neville chuckled at Ron, it wasn't like the kitchen would run out of eclairs soon he thought. But trust Ron to be possessive with food.

"Mmmhmmm, words to live by. I won't tell if you don't." Gran was great, he thought, but still Gran. As good as their relationship was now, he still didn't want to hear her opinions on eating pizza for breakfast, or desert before dinner.

"Yeah, well aside from dropping a client. But I have a new one now, so that's good. And he's building new cottage so I get to plan the landscaping from the ground up." He snickered. "Pun not intended."

"Oh? I haven't gotten an Owl yet, but I'll be glad to help." Mrs Weasley was nice, he thought, and even if she hadn't been she was still Charlie' Mum.

"Yours? You brought six. I figured two each." Harry told Ron innocently. So amusing how possessive Ron could be with food. "You two are both horrible eaters." Harry told him.

"Get rid of grabby hands?" Harry asked with a chuckle. "Thought maybe she was growing on you.

Harry had to bite the inside of his cheek when Ron commented about Molly. Poor Neville was so going to get interrogated if he di her garden. Better Molly talk to Nevile about his relationship than Molly talk to him about his and Ron's. "Just expect to leave well fed." Harry warned him.

Ron sighed, but conceded defeat. It wasn't as if he couldn't go get more eclairs later. But, he thought he'd try the pity card just once more, to save the final eclairs for himself. "It's just this is the first real food I've had in a week, so I wanted to enjoy myself," he said, giving Harry his most pitiful puppy dog eyes. Though even he would admit that they weren't nearly as effective as Sammy or Harry's were.

"Mum does live to keep everyone around her well fed," Ron said, making a note to head over to the Burrow for dinner on Sunday. He'd missed his mum's cooking almost as much as he'd missed Harry and Sammy. "So arrive hungry."

"Two each. Oh, good." And he grabbed a second eclair. And, like those eyes were going to keep him from more chocolate. Maybe Harry was that gullible, but c'mon, Nev thought.

"So does a fungus." And he winced, that wasn't nice at all. "No, really, she kept changing her mind. I'd be working on that garden till I was 100."

"Okay, it'd be nice to have someone cook for me for a change. Though Charlie said he would too." Best not to go down that route, and he tried to get his mind back off of Charlie.

Harry just laughed at Ron's puppy eyes. "And the baked chicken, potatoes, and carrots I made earlier weren't real food? Even went out and bought fresh bread to go with the dinner." Ron really could be a prat sometimes.

"Poor Neville." Harry said with a chuckle, "I hope your new client is better." Harry told him.

"She's going to decide you need fattening up. She never feels I eat enough." Harry warned him before pausing. "Charlie said he'd cook? Charlie can't cook. He can make cheese toasties, and toast. Reheating things sure. Actually cooking no." Unless Charlie had been planning on asking him too. Oh well cat was out of the bag.
