Doors [02 Mar 2012|03:44pm]

Las Vegas is full of doors. For most of them, money and power are the keys. But just off Las Vegas’ Strip, there is a place called the Passages Hotel, where the doors open under your touch not because of who you are, but because of who you carry with you.

Passages Hotel is full of doors, but the key to Passages is not glitter or gold; it’s a person. Not a real person at all, but that person in your head, the one from fiction, the one that doesn’t exist, your separate personality, your Alter. Some people say it’s a disorder, and it could be, but the rumors and old wives’ tales don’t explain why the Alters have doors... or what’s on the other side. It’s not like anyone can make a reservation to stay in Passages, and the vacancy sign is never, ever lit.

Unless, that is, you’re one of them. In which case, the key to your door is waiting. Do you dare open it?

Most Wanted: Game of Thrones, Avengers, DC Comics, X-Men, American Horror Story, Stardust, Inception and Harry Potter.

For just over three months, the Orient Express has been designated a run-away. While the staff and designers are working diligently to retrieve their rogue express, the train itself is thwarting their plans. How, after all, do you track down a single train that can be anywhere, anywhen, in any number of realities across all the known verses? It’s a great big space out there, and they can’t search it all.

Meanwhile, the train is certainly giving the passengers a ride. From hallucinogenic gases to a murderer on board, to realities where there’s no breathable air to worlds that contain things of legend and mythos, the passengers are helpless to direct the run away train and must simply hang on and adapt as well as they can.

Between cabin fever, clashing personalities, and on-board shenanigans that don’t exactly bring a grin to everyone’s face, the passengers are forced to contend with situations outside of their daily norm. Future meets past, magic clashes with technology, and everyone is tangled up in the ever-changing environment of the train. Are you brave enough to come along for the ride?

Orient Express is a relatively quickly paced panfandom game set aboard a time-traveling, reality-hopping luxury train. The game’s been running strong since its opening in November of 2011. If you’ve looked at us before and passed us up, have another look -- there have been some changes in the past few weeks.
