Welcome to Captio!!

Welcome to the world of Captio! The place has been completely abandoned and left to rot the way it is. Fortunately, it has enough resources to start a new civilization with what was left from the last one. The Management in charge have powers that allow them to pick and choose who they would like to live and thrive on the world. They've set up facilities for clean water, a power plant, basic animals and a food storage facility.

Sadly, these facilities are not close together and are in different areas that have drastically different terrain and time-frames. The paths to these facilities have dangerous monsters that are attracted to warmth, and it's even more dangerous at night. Many people stick to the towns that are kept safe by fences.

The monsters were the reason for the loss of human life. The Management wants to see if a new set of humans picked from different universes can make it safe for humans to habitat there.

New Game! Open when enough characters have been accepted!

The Liquid World!/Eden [22 Jan 2012|12:13pm]

ESTABLISHED MATURE RPG - ALL FANDOMS WELCOME

There will be death, pain, rebirth, torture, all manner of twisting of reality.

OC's/MULTIPLES ACCEPTED ( except Liquid Snake ) FROM DIFFERENT TIMELINES!

PANFANDOM - OC and RL Characters Allowed - YAOI AND HET HAPPILY ACCEPTED
You are allowed a total of 5 characters at any one time.
Liquid Snake has returned from the Afterlife bigger and badder than ever with a new Machine to wreck havoc.
Having reunited with Ocelot, they have managed to get hold of the Tardis from one of the Time Lords, Ten --and blackmailed him into surrendering it -- now Liquid has a toy that he uses to randomly bring in people from all over the world--- all over the universe really-- and Life and Death are no obstacle.
Once he managed to unlock the secrets of the Tardis, Liquid rigged a way to remotely control its capabilities.
Sometimes for amusement, sometimes for malicious reasons, Liquid can bring in someone from anywhere, can literally raise the dead, because he can simply pluck them from a time before they lost their physical form.
He is not sane, far from it, and this only adds to the danger and threat to the world.
Shadow Moses Island is now a huge settlement with many people living around it, a massive Fortress that is watched over by Liquid, Ocelot, Loki, Vergil Sparda, many of the original SM crew.
Fort Freedom is the seat of the Resistance, and Liquid allows them to exist only because it amuses him-- that amusement could end at any time, and for any reason. They are located in the Rockies, in a fortified Citadel well guarded, and among the personages there are Big Boss and the Boss, who are the Leaders.
From time to time Liquid sends attacks of various sorts against them, and they have so far survived.
Don't Tread On Me - the DTOM -- they are the remanants of the USA govenment, with Patriot and Philosopher holdouts and supporters among them. They strongly desire the deaths of Liquid and Ocelot, and have already sentenced them to death by hanging in absentia. They have no love for Fort Freedom either, seeing them as radicals.
If you get pulled in here be aware that the cities are now all GEAR/GEKKO bases, and up and down the coasts there are rows of massive super-nukes, the Cronos and the Titan, and modified Minutemen. Life goes on, life always goes on, and there are drugs, whores, black markets, crying babies and housewifely drudgery in this world, just as there was before Liquid unlocked his terrible secret.
You might land anywhere, and your fate might be kind or cruel, depending on the whims of a mad God.
There's no rhyme or reason to things now: The TARDIS has begun to malfunction, upset by Liquid's toying with it, and although it's still under Liquid's control, it has started to pull people randomly, without the need of Liquid's express orders. Things can only get more insane, so feel free to join in the madness!

The World According to Liquid Snake..... he might call it Outer Heaven at times, but don't be fooled.

It's just a pretty wrapping for Hell on earth.

The year is 2155.

Earth has colonies on other worlds, space travel has finally broken through, barriers have been broken everywhere, and finally-- even the Final Barrier-- Death.
Reincarnation is now an art form, no longer left to the capricious fates. Now there is a system in place, and the place of rebirth is the planet Genesis -- and the colony called Eden is where all the new arrivals wind up. No more do you have to go through the stages of birth and infancy to be reborn, to take that second chance - now you enter fully mature, in the prime of your new life, at the vital age of 21.

The human race is now sterile, infertile, and reproduction is for pleasure only. Birth was ruled to be Obsolete, childhood cruel, and adolescence a waste.

This is where Life returns. this is the Brave New World where the select 100 every year are allowed to make the exodus to Earth.

The Chosen.

Not everyone wants to leave Eden.

There are shops, casinos, entertainment of all sorts, the good and the bad alike return here.

When you arrive, you will come through the Tunnel ...and out to the Light.

Back to the mortal, leaving the soft and easy peace of the Afterlife regions. Perhaps you didn't want to come back, to incarnate. Too bad, because everyone must be recycled. Everyone must return. Otherwise, there will be no human race at all, because there's one flaw in all this, one mistake the Elders made, before they decreed themselves Obsolete and succumbed to the Return as well.

No one lives past 50.

Ever.

At 50, death comes, no matter if you are on Earth, one of the Colonies, Eden, or an alien whorehouse.

The Law of Return is Absolute.

Muggle Uprising On Swona
KIRKWALL - A riot on the island of Swona, part of the Orkney Islands, started early this morning and continues to grow out of control.

This tiny island became the site of the most densely populated muggle ghetto in 1976, when the Orkney Islands Project opened up several islands of the district to terraforming, which allowed Orkney to have some of the highest producing magical farms in the country, and the world's leader in plants such as aconite and dittany. Muggle work crews used on the farms are housed in the Swona ghetto, which is small enough that it doesn't allow for sustenance farming by the families that live there.

The Swona ghetto is supplied with food and staples from the nearby city of Kirkwall, but an administrative error caused a delay in distribution, reports say. According to an eyewitness account, the riot on Swona was sparked this morning when officials told the muggles there that the matter would take several more days to resolve.
Catriona Arbuckle, Lord Lieutenant of Orkney, issued a press statement early this morning stating that the riot would be quickly contained and the instigators swiftly punished, but so far no change has been reported. No members of the press are being allowed near the island, but fires and columns of smoke have been sighted from the mainland. Reports that the muggles on the island are using new 'automatic firearms' are unconfirmed.

Swona has been the site of three major uprisings since its establishment. To date, 29 law enforcement officials have been killed on the island, making it one of the deadliest ghettos in the United Kingdom. Local authorities often avoid the island entierly and allow the muggles there to 'sort themselves out,' a decision which might have played a deciding factor in today's crisis.

Age of Kings is an AU royals-based Harry Potter game in which wizards live openly and subjugate muggles. Political tensions, a controversy over the next king, and a violently unstable society form a counterpoint for social shenanigans, character drama, and and intense gaming experience.

Vampires around here don't sparkle.

A hundred years ago, supernaturals 'didn't exist'. They were figments of your imagination, things that went bump in the night and tall tales that you told your children. Not anymore.

Supernaturals were in hiding, laying dormant and blending into the background in order to protect themselves, but during WWII, the need for their abilities became so great that hiding was no longer an option. The government had long been aware of the existence of supernaturals, and when Hitler was killed or died and the accounts of the death were so unusual they couldn't be explained, people started asking questions. Keeping supernaturals under wraps became impossible and so the different races of supernaturals exploded across the lands. Just like any other minority, supernaturals weren't welcomed with open arms. Many were persecuted and some even killed for being 'different'. There was segregation and hate crimes and many churches labeled being supernatural an abomination before God. Supernaturals had to register with the government and were prosecuted if they were found without their registration cards. Many supernaturals went back into hiding.

During the sixties, however, in the height of civil rights and love, peace and harmony, being supernatural didn't seem so bad in the grand scheme of things. There were vast civil rights movements and eventually laws were passed protecting supernaturals the same as other minority groups. Still, not everyone accepted people who were 'different'. Many supernaturals migrated to areas where they were more widely accepted.

Some may have moved right next door to you.

In Toronto, Ontario, Canada, moving into an apartment with a new roommate might mean that you're sharing a living space with a werewolf. Or maybe your son's new kindergarten teacher is an elemental. Or that girl you have a crush on in Algebra just might already know because she's a telepath. Things are still a struggle when it comes to acceptance and not everyone is happy about the path that the world is taking towards equality.

Where do you stand? Which side will you take?

Come join us at The Supernatural Next Door. We're currently seeking VAMPIRES!
