They had the world at their feet. They ruled the school. They couldn't have been considered cooler. But now, it's 2009 and they haven't won anything for a very long time. And it's been a long time since the Glee Club was considered anything close to "cool." Now they're the bottom of the heap, the misfits of the school. No one has faith in them at all...but one man: Spanish teacher, Will Schuester. He basked in the glow of the '93 Glee Club and wants to return it to its former glory. Unfortunately, there are dark forces plotting against this grand scheme...namely, cheerleaders. Will the "gleeks" triumph or crash and burn? Only time will tell... new_directions is a brand new rp based on Fox's show Glee. It's just starting up, so most of the characters are still open for applications (but going fast!) and original characters are also welcome. The Knife-in-the-Eye is one of the more happening joints on Gropecunt Lane, somewhere in the underworld, where those who have been immortalized in song and story...are stuck. One for the Books is a semi-structured, primarily comedic LJ RP for historical figures. Rulers, statesmen, scholars, artists, soldiers, and eccentrics from all periods and all places congregate at the Knife-in-the-Eye and contemplate the ineffable -- when they're not at each others' throats, that is. BRITANNIA [08 Oct 2009|06:47pm] B R I T A N N I A Located in the western part of the state, this mid-sized town has mostly failed to live up to its grandiose name. It's big enough that no one knows everyone else, small enough that a new face is noticeable. The leaves are lovely in the fall, tourists stop through with reasonable regularity, and nothing much ever changes. Or didn't. Some of the townspeople have dreams. Recurring dreams about blood, and horses, and steel. About silken gowns, and hawking, and high spires. About loyalties and rivalries long faded into legend. Most of them have shrugged the dreams off. They're only dreams. But things are beginning to change after all. Britannia, NY is an established Arthurian game set in the present day. Arthur has returned, but so has his sister-enemy, Morgan. Characters will have to come to grips with past life memories, choose a side, forge alliances -- and hope to prevail. Their Mako reactors pollute the land and mutate local wildlife into ferocious beasts, even as they provide everyone with an affordable and efficient power source. A rebel faction known only as AVALANCHE, many of its members touched by tragedy brought on by the corporation, boldly choose to fight back; but at what cost? Without ShinRa the economy would undoubtedly falter. There is no real evil here — only a difference in opinion. On which side of the conflict will you fall? Midgar City is a Final Fantasy VII role-play set in an alternate universe. The game will explore the initial themes of Man vs. Corporation, as opposed to launching into a plot to save the world from Sephiroth, Jenova and Meteor.
