The Divide [22 Sep 2009|03:03pm] The Divide is a multi-canon Marvel/DC/Independent Universe hybrid game following an AU branch of the Marvel Civil War series, set two months after the death of Captain America. During their attempt to prevent the creation of a new prison to hold dissenters in an alternate dimension, those opposed to the Super-human Registration Act have caused a tear in reality itself. This rift has displaced an as of yet unknown number of people- heroes, villains and civillians alike, ripping people from their own worlds and leaving them disorientated and confused. The game is set three weeks after the creation of the rift. Several Marvel characters have already returned to the world from being pulled into this tear in reality, along with many new faces from other realities suddenly finding themselves stranded in the Marvel world. Recuperatio [22 Sep 2009|03:30pm] 2005. Seven years since the fall of The Dark Lord Voldemort. After all of the pain and suffering that he inflicted, one would think that things were back to normal and peaceful. If you think that, then you’re dead wrong. Convicted rapist and murderer, Fenrir Greyback has escaped from Azkaban and has already began to leave a trail of bodies behind him as he works on building a werewolf army, along with being intent on finishing what he started with Hermione Granger back at Malfoy Manor. Poor Crookshanks has already paid the price of his bloodlust. The leading vampire rights activist has been murdered and vampires are ready to expose everyone to the Muggles if the killer isn’t caught and if their demands aren’t met. The Muggle War is affecting Wizards left and right, from soldiers to suicide bombers in London. Harry Potter is still living a reclusive life, still dealing with PTSD from the war. The Death Eaters have begun to align themselves once more, planning on finishing the work of The Dark Lord. In an attempt to gain Greyback as an ally, the Death Eaters responsible for the new regime tortured Hermione Granger, with the intent of presenting her as a gift for the wolf, but Harry Potter saved her in time. But the damage was done and Ron Weasley is now on the war path. Will Harry be able to come out of his seclusion and help his friend before he goes off the deep end? And if Harry cannot stop Ron, will his fellow Aurors be forced to do the job? All of this going on and the Head of the Magical Law Enforcement unit has just been murdered along with the Minister of Magic’s assistant and Andromeda Tonks… Someone is hell-bent on killing every single person of importance in the Ministry of Magic, leaving room for the Death Eaters to make their move. Come join us in the year 2014, with hopes of creating an even stronger military force, Sylar locates a child with a very special power and in attempts to use and control it he nearly kills the girl and disrupts the time space continuum, causing people to appear from different times both in the past and future all throughout the world. And people’s fears of these new people seem to be very well rooted – an overwhelming majority of these new people have abilities. The world is in disarray, the things that President Petrelli has vouched for and tried so hard to show others that he make a reality are falling apart and the world is reluctant to rally behind him. Now is the time for a resistance to surge, but will there be someone who would dare to oppose President Petrelli? The world is waiting for a hero, and beginning to suspect that the villains aren’t the ones they’ve always been expecting. Where will their allegiance lie when the cards have fallen? People disappeared, entire families were killed-- and the world was torn between Albus Dumbledore's Order of Phoenix and Tom Riddle's Death Eaters. The Ministry of Magic stood nearly powerless to stop these massacres and the threat of a pureblood society taking complete control loomed overhead. A red scare suddenly ran throughout the wizarding world as the body count grew. The tables turned when the Dark Lord received intelligence that he believed would seal the fate of this war. A prophecy about a child that would have the power to defeat him, and it quickly came to light that this child was born of Lily and James Potter. He set about trying to find the couple who had defied him three times, and dispose of their son. On October 31st, 1980 the Dark Lord was finally able to find the Potters at their home in Godric's Hollow when Peter Pettigrew betrayed them. However, the Potters were not ill-prepared for the attack. Severus Snape had been able to warn Lily Potter of what was to come, and when the Dark Lord arrived that evening at Godric's Hollow-- he was not met with the happy parents and their child-- but the entire Order of Phoenix and an ambush. On that Halloween, the Dark Lord fell, and the wizarding world rejoiced. Time marched on, and the world forgot about what had happened that Halloween in 1980. The families who had supported the Dark Lord were either jailed, disappeared or managed to buy their way into freedom with tarnished reputations-- but the Ministry of Magic and the Order of Phoenix managed to regain their hold and purge the world of darkness. The world was at peace, but the Dark Lord would not remain forgotten forever-- those true to him knew there were plans that could resurrect him-- but those plans had seemingly disappeared. They relied greatly on their abilities and their minds. They were not taught every aspect of being a superhero, and they had to discover the hard way how to be a good one. With the rise of villains, the world watched sadly as each superhero fell. The villains were achieving their ambition, slowly beginning to take over the world. It wasn’t until a team of superheroes united and destroyed the immense team of villains, only to never be seen again. Nobody ever found out who the team consisted of. They came, and they left. To prevent another villain breakout, in 1942, a man by the name of Marcus Baldwin created a school whose sole purpose is to create one of the greatest superheroes of all times. The government knows the existence of the school, but to protect the identities of the students, Marcus Baldwin hid its location. Children who hold special abilities are confronted to enter the school. There, they are taught how to control their ability, if needed, and enhancing it. The social structure is divided equally. There are no jocks, no preps, and no band geeks. You are either classified as a hero or a sidekick by the head of the school, Marcus Baldwin. But just because someone is classified as a hero does not mean they all hold good intentions. Baldwin high is not only a place that raises superheroes, but unknowingly, it might just be the place where a new villain will be born. But you’re still a teenager. You have your whole life ahead of you. You can figure out if you want to be killing innocent pedestrians or saving them later. NEW GAME! Get your holds in! Terror everywhere … panic … confusion … that’s how it used to be."– Sirius Black The year is 1978. Across Europe the Wizarding Community lives in fear. Voldemort and his followers are on the rise, leaving behind a reign of terror in their wake. As Voldemort’s supporters increase and more Wizards are murdered or go missing, Wizards and Witches begin to grow even more uneasy and terrified, and an increasing number choose to fall prey to his Empire, out of fear for their lives, unwilling to stand up and fight.
