She listened to him intently, and never once let her eyes off of him. On the one hand this gave the appearance that she was listening to him. In reality though she was looking at him, and wondering just when he had become so attractive to her. She was also wondering why all of the sudden she wouldn't mind being touched in an intimate way by this guy. She had to look away for a moment.
Rachel was also feeling angry at herself. Normally she never allowed herself to become attracted to anyone. Attraction always meant a potential date; which would lead to actually going out; and that would lead to having sex; and Rachel just wasn't that type of woman. As a vagrant, a wanderer, she had learned never to be involved with anyone. '
But now things were different, and maybe she could give it a shot? Quickly realizing what she was thinking, she shook her head, and looked back at L. "Alright, I understand, and I'll do my best not to kill you," she added a smile at that last part to show L that she really had no intentions of killing him.
