Grimmjow tilted his head a bit to the other side, regarding her anew. "Yeah," he said, answering several of her stated - and unstated - questions all at once. "That's right."
Still, it was a pretty exceptional human that truly piqued his interest. The ironic aspect of that statement was that of the few that had, they had all been fairly young. Not much older than this girl, actually. Blue eyes narrowed again.
"Hollows are what happens when you-" Humans specifically. "-die. First your spirit separates from your body, like a ghost. And then if you decide to stick around, your heart rots away." And it wasn't just the heart.. It was the person's humanity, and any semblance of conscious that kept the Id at bay. "Leaves a big hole, straight through your chest where it used to be. Most Hollows turn into monsters at that point, hiding behind their masks."
His grin resurfaced. There was only an ironic humor behind it.
