Summary: The attack on Henry, Mitch, and Eileen is the last straw for Alessa and Blythe, who come up with a plan to teleport Alessa unseen into Niflheim to spy on its inhabitants.
For some time, Blythe had been intensely studying the books of her world, absolutely convinced that she could be of more help to Asgard than just a healer. Because of her unique conditions, finding spells of any benefit were few and far between. Finding the defensive spell that could potentially shatter lifeforces was a lucky shot and for a while she was convinced it would be the only one she would find.
And then she stumbled upon an incantation that initially appeared to be gibberish. But after deciphering it, she found it to be another spell that focused solely on the control and manipulation of lifeforces. Instead of defending against one, it provided the ability to mask it. Blythe didn't tell anybody of her discovery for some time. But when the most recent attack occurred on Niflheim, she knew she couldn't be silent anymore. She contacted Alessa, who was naturally of a like mind, and together they plotted to spy on Niflheim.
As soon as she was sure she had the spell down flawlessly, Blythe wrote to Alessa to meet her at noon. She was nervous, of course, but determined to work with Alessa as best as she could. Taking her walking stick and the book, Blythe threw a cloak over herself to keep warm and made her way to the front doors of Asgard, waiting patiently for her teammate to arrive.
