Sal paused for a dreadfully long moment, waiting to see - or feel - how Alessa would respond. When there was nothing but the sound of nothing about him, he pulled the object out of his pocket. He pouted playfully.
"Damn, another knife. It should be in one of these somewhere..." He threw the knife over his head towards the balcony. He heard it twang as the blade stuck itself into the wooden ledge, fully aware of what he'd just done. "Let me check...no, no....no....ah."
Sal picked up the same bible. "Prey, Alessa, prey."
