The Wedding Of The Century
Who: Alessa and Sal
Where: Church in Emptiness
When: 4 Days after the Trial Ceremony; August 24th, Evening
Rating: R
Warnings: Language, Torture, Violence
Summary: It’s a game of cat and mouse, but who’s the cat and who’s the mouse? A vengeful Alessa baits Sal into going on a “date” with her in Emptiness. This get-together quickly morphs into something Sal was not expecting. A day’s worth of torture? Sure, why not. She’s not his One True Love for nothing.
The whole Blythe and L hullabaloo sure had shaken Asgard into a frenzy, and like the little scavenger he was, Rascal had milked that for all it was worth. Sure, Mello had taken his place when it came to bothering Blythe, and Light and L were destined to be mortal enemies anyway, but that didn’t stop him from getting his kicks. After all, that was what he was there for.
For the most part, Mitch had been quiet. He’d reduced himself to the same old, ‘Fuck off, asshole’ lines that he’d received from many people. That certainly didn’t stop Sal from keeping an eye on him, though, as the asexual being knew he wanted to decimate Mitch above all others. If everything went according to plan, Mitch would be the one to kill Sal. And how he looked forward to it. In the meantime, another special individual had snared his interest.
Alessa.
It made Sal laugh when he thought about it. Alessa of Asgard. She wasn’t like any of the others there and he wondered if they realized that. While everyone else threatened his life or told him to get lost, Alessa played along with his taunting like a champ, certainly snaring his attention like no one else had ever before. She was different. She reeked of secrets and riddles that he longed to discover. Alessa was dangerous. More dangerous than even he was. But that didn’t stop him from agreeing to see her in Emptiness.
Sauntering into the abandoned city about an hour before sunset, Sal caught no movements whatsoever – from Alessa or anyone. Unless she magically tracked him and popped up before him, he was sure finding her in Emptiness would never be that easy. So he climbed up one of the tallest buildings in the downtown area and sat himself on the roof. Kicking his legs lazily, he whistled a childhood tune. It was certainly a haunting sound in the middle of this abandoned city. Even if Alessa didn’t show up, it wasn’t a bad evening at all.
