The way she kept saying his name earned some new suspisions, but Sal kept that half-grin plastered on his face. He folded his arms loosely to give the appearance he'd let his guard down, but if she did one thing out of the ordinary (not that this was mundanity at its finest), both hands would be seizing their respective guns.
"I like to take in the sights." Sal ran his tongue across his teeth as Alessa motioned for him to come near. "I'm more of a big picture kinda person myself. So I think I'll stay right here, sweetheart, and enjoy the view from here."
To say he didn't trust her was the understatement of the year. He wanted to see how she'd get him all the way over there. It would be funny to watch her try.
