Asgard was quiet. Almost dead. She knew it had to be the memories that locked so many people in their rooms. What secrets they tried to hide from the world they could not hide from themselves today and she knew that prying would be a most inhumane act. It was unintended that she and Ryuzaki shared their memories together. They'd woken up startled at the sudden noises and images flooding the room. Blythe couldn't see any of their memories, but she knew what they meant. What they meant for her and for him. What they meant for them as two people finding each other in the midst of a war.
It was this time with Ryuzaki that allowed Blythe the courage to continue on her day as if nothing was wrong. True, voices were always at her ear - her brother's taunts, her mother's cries, the voices of the people who raised her - but she did her best to ignore them, to shake them off. She cried sometimes but she was mostly immune. At least, this was what she told herself.
Like running from shadows of an evening sun, Blythe made her way to the greenhouse, upset that she'd forgotten her book and scared that someone would chase her down, even on this day. She found it rather quickly, gathered it up. But when she opened the door to the greenhouse to leave, a flash of red passed her eye. Leaning around, she watched it march off into the wide green expanse. She glared. Was that man crazy?
