Riley wrapped both his arms around Buffy and swung her around in a circle. Maybe it had been more a ding to his ego than he'd admitted even to himself, but he'd been with Buffy at the wrong time in his life. And he finally vocalized that. "You know, I admit that bothered me, a lot. But I've kind of had the chance to realize I let a lot of things screw with my head back then," he said seriously. "And a lot of that bled over onto you. Whether I meant it to or not, it did, and you were convenient. I blamed you for a lot, and it was my issues. You were the best thing that happened to me, and I'm sorry if I hurt you."
