"That's what--well, I've been told I've got potential," he admitted, and took the clothes from Buffy. "And yes. You have seen it all before. But." He ducked into the fitting room, closed the door, and then stepped up on the bench so he could look at her over the top of the door. "You are not seeing it again." Or ever. "I will come out in every outfit, I promise."
Jumping back down from the bench, Riley turned the flimsy lock on the door and picked up the first pair of slacks and wiggled into them, then scowled at the dress shirt. He pulled it on over his turtleneck, added a tie, and then opened the door for Buffy to give her opinion. "I don't think I'm going to be wearing a tie that often," he complained. But at least the shirt was loose enough that the turtleneck fit under it. If the turtleneck did, chances are, other things would too and he might be able to surprise Spike after all.
