One bored out of her wits lady cop/member of Torchwood meets someone new

Gwen was bored out of her wits and Jack was not due back for a visit for a few more hours. "Another day and no new clues besides what Owen and I found" meaning the alien flu that landed her in the medlab for a once-over. But unlike a few weeks before their was color in her face again, the shivering was just about gone and besides some nagging postnasal drip she was pretty much in one piece again. "Way too sunny out,this place needs some fog and a freak thunderstom or two" thinking of Cardiff and of Rhys. She scribbled a note about what could have gotten her and Owen sick when she heard footsteps nearby and out of habit reached for her gun, forgetting it was back in her room and very well hidden from all nosy eyes (minus Jack,Martha and Ianto of course).

Lee was feeling perfectly well. But it didn't hurt to acquaint yourself with all areas of Here he thought as he arrived at medilab. Lee had always been in ridiculously good health unless you count the times he'd been injured which looking back at life on Galactica and if he'd believed he'd have to admit he had the luck of the Gods on his side.

What he was hoping for was a chance to help out, give some blood or something. But at first glance there wasn't anyone to be seen. Lee picked up a couple of leaflets and hummed quietly to himself, no one seemed to be there.

He was about to turn and go when he heard a noise.

"Hello?" he called.

	Lee spotted the pretty brunette woman with the hugest eyes he's ever seen behind the glass. He has no idea what she's talking about so he nods and gives her a smile. "Hi Gwen, I'm Lee." He'd normally shake her hand at this point but it seems she's in quarantine or something. So he raises his hand in a wave. "Your accent it isn't Aquarian is it?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Besides bored out of my wits?" Gwen was honest. "But I'm from Earth and a different time period" happy at least she could talk if through a glass. "Law enforcement cool, I'm a Pilot in the Colonial fleet, I'm the CAG and I'm missing the flying."

Lee takes a seat near the glass, he feels like he might be able to cheer, Gwen up if she has someone to talk to for a bit.

"Congratulations on the engagement," he says. "Is he Here too?"

"I arrived Here with my someone," he admits. "It would have been harder without her. Having friends Here that know you certainly helps."

"She's called Starbuck, Kara actually. Starbuck is her callsign, like mine is Apollo. We're complicated." he explains badly.

Lee feels sorry that her fiance is stuck in her world.

"But its good you've got friends. That makes things a whole lot easier to cope with." he says emphatically.

"So how long have you been Here?" he asks not sure what else he can say - hating falling back on cliche.

"Yeah Kara and I were wrestling over the Cube when we both got transported." He grins then nods.

"Time here is very weird. I think we've been Here a couple of months but it is hard to tell."

Gwen asks about callsigns. "You know I never knew how Kara got to be Starbuck, they get assigned when you graduate from flight school. I graduated top of my class and tradition dictates that those who graduate top get named after the gods and are expected to live up to the name."

	"That does make sense, I just remember it driving Tosh up the wall so I offered to give it a shot. Next thing I remember was landing here" Gwen had to admit.
