"I know," he whispers. The pain in the other man's eyes is familiar -- he's feeling it right now. "I know," he repeats.
He takes Rose in his arms again, and drops to the snow as well, cradling her body close. A tear falls from his eye, and he pulls her body close, holds her.
It could be minutes later when he looks back up at Jack, it could be hours, he can't tell. He moves closer to him, shuffling through the snow and reaching out a hand.
There's only one person Here who knows how he feels. And if he's going to be able to move again, he'll need Jack's help.
