"Oh, sweetie," she breathed, and pulled her into a hug.
"I heard about the explosion," she said. "God, that sucks. I know this sounds silly but I do know how you feel, I've been through similar stuff. I dunno if Lucas told you, but my boyfriend died, and one of my best friends, and I know how hard it is to deal with that. Sounds like you've been so lucky with Lucas, you both survived, and have each other now. I know, it can be hard, but try not to focus on the almost dying - focus on the staying alive."
"And you're going to get married and I know you won't have your family, but you'll have each other. And it'll be special, I promise you it will. I'll do anything I can to help, okay?"
"It'll pass, but till it does you don't have to be afraid to show the cracks, yeah?" she said. "I'm in room 229, or if I'm not try 330. Send Lucas if you have to and I'll come here if you need me, okay?"
She hugged her again.
"And honey, it's an amazing dress," she said. "My friend Angel would love to see that, she designs clothes and stuff. And would be the best to help you with the bags and shoes. I'll help with the under the dress stuff," she added, with a wink. "And the honeymoon stuff, I can help you with that too."
"We'll get everything sorted, I promise," she said.
