- Emily Dickinson, American Poet, 1830 - 1886
Abby Sciuto sits in the Cemetery of Here, a small candle in a bowl in the snow in front of her. It isn't quite dark out yet, but the candle gives her some focus. She sits on a small, plastic mat she found in the fitness centre, her black cloak wrapped around her, black gloves on, black hair down for a change. She is thinking about Life and Death and Change, and wondering what she's going to do tomorrow.
She's listening some jazz on her iPod - which was in her pocket when she was brought Here - and thought it fitting. The dead might like the music and, of course, where she grew up, that was how you sent them to their final resting place. She's listening on her ear buds, but hopes that, somehow, they are listening, too.
