It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Tony never had guests over. He hadn't even had many guests in his apartment back in Vancouver. Zev, when they'd been dating. Amy, once in a while. Henry most often, because it didn't matter how long it had been since they'd been together; Tony knew that there would always be a part of him that answered when the vampire called, even if he were to show up in San Francisco that very moment. He was dealing with it, exes were complicated enough when they didn't have the whole Prince of the Night thing going for them. Tony figured that not many people could say they were on friendly terms with both of their serious exes, though, so he was winning. Sort of.

So, yeah, he was maybe being a little Much when it came to making sure that everything was set up for Buck and Maddie to get there. He had a bottle of wine and a tumbler (because he didn't own any wine glasses) for Maddie, and a twelve pack of beer for him and Buck. Holden and Gar both knew that he was going to have company, so he'd done his duty as a good roommate. He had a selection of movies that were so bad they were good assembled and there was enough seating for all three of them. So, winning again, this time on the good host front.

All that was left was the guests. The knock on the door made Tony jump even though he was expecting it, and he scrambled to get to the door to answer before they decided that they'd made a terrible mistake agreeing to watch movies with him and ran way. "Hey! Come on in, get comfortable."

He gave Buck a quick side hug before turning to Maddie. "Hi, I'm Tony, thanks for sharing your brother for the night."

Maddie laughed softly as she settled more comfortably on the couch, elbow resting easily on the armrest as she leaned toward Buck a bit. “First of all, no, you definitely don’t need to watch the first Trolls to watch the second one. I mean, unless you're really invested in the emotional arc of animated singing trolls—which, I respect if you are,” she teased, giving Buck a little nudge with her shoulder.

Then she turned to Tony with a smirk. “And I gotta say, I’m weirdly intrigued by the idea of a Wicker Man drinking game. Do we drink every time Nicolas Cage screams? Because we’d be unconscious in twenty minutes.”

She turned back to Buck, eyes warm with amusement. “I vote we go Trolls 2 first. It’s absurd in the best way, and honestly, I think your brain needs something chaotic and hilarious to keep it from combusting. We’ll save Cats for when we really want to question our life choices.”

Maddie looked between the two of them and grinned. “Besides, the couch is comfy, we’ve got snacks, and we’re fully prepared to make fun of whatever trainwreck ends up on screen. Bad movies or not, I’m calling this a win already.”

"I can see where you got this, and I totally respect the trainwreck that is Trolls 2 and am very willing to watch it, but oh no. This is Troll 2, singular. And there isn't a first one. And there are no trolls in it." Tony shrugged. "Like I said. Worst movie of all time. I bet Trolls 2 is on streaming though, right? Everything's on a streaming service somewhere."

It was kind of sad and a reason that traditional TV was going the way of newspapers, but Tony had fully embraced the streaming age for himself. He'd never imagined having so many movies and shows at his fingertips back in his own time. And his own time wasn't even that far behind.

Well. Okay. Like twenty years. Which was pretty far.

"And hell yeah we've got snacks and drinks, I got..." Tony looked over at his supplies on the table then smacked himself in the forehead. "Forgot the chips, just a sec."

He could have walked to get them, but instead he held out a hand toward the dining area and spit out a string of syllables that sounded like mostly consonants, hard and sharp-edged. A bag of chips came flying from the kitchen to smack against his outstretched palm.

When Maddie started to talk about the cartoon trolls movie, Buck laughed a little because he knew that wasn't the movie that Tony was talking about. "Please don't make me watch that cartoon again. Jee watched that thing too much." He turned his attention to Tony. "Oh, so Troll 2 is actually Troll 1. I got it now." He nodded slightly at Tony, mentioning that most things were on streaming, somewhere. It was true. Most movies and tv shows were right at their fingertips 24/7. He didn't mind it. It meant he could actually watch things if he wanted to, too, since his schedule was not like anyone else's normal work schedule.

He looked at Maddie when she tried to guess what the drinking game could be. Honestly, being unconscious didn't sound like such a bad idea. Can't get stuck in his head if he's not awake.

When Tony said that he forgot the chips, he figured he would get up and get them. Instead, he watched the chip bag move through the air on its own and end up in Tony's hand. "Okay, I wish I could do that." Oh, how many things would be made simple if he could just stick his hand out and have whatever he needed come to him. "Sooo, what movie are we picking? I vote The Wicker Man."

“Oh.” Troll 2 was not a movie Maddie was aware of. “Okay, then.”

She watched as Tony held out his hand and then a bag of chips floated their way. Her eyes widened as they followed the bag chips. “Uhm… okay, that’s new for me.” She said and gave a quick look to Buck.

“The Wicker Man is fine with me.” She said, casting her vote. “I don’t mind watching Nicolas Cage and I’m very curious about this drinking game.”
