A well-deserved day off, and Carlos currently had the apartment to himself. He started his day with a refreshing shower and a light breakfast–a fruit salad and yogurt with granola. After breakfast, he let Lou2 out of his enclosure, letting him have room to roam. Yeah, the creature wasn’t his favorite thing, and really, he preferred the thing stay in his tank. But he had done some research with TK a while back and it seemed that letting him roam around was healthy for him. So they often let him out to have his roaming space. But only when someone was home.

Carlos spent the morning doing some cleaning. He started in his and TK’s bedroom: stripping the sheets and washing them, sweeping and swiffering the floor, dusting and cleaning the glass. After the bedroom, he moved onto the bathroom, then the kitchen, and the living room. While laundry tumbled around in the machine, he made himself some lunch, finishing the laundry and making the bed with fresh sheets after. Now with all the cleaning done, he decided to chill out and relax with a book on the couch.

Throughout the day, Lou2 seemed to follow Carlos around. Every room he was in, there was Lou right behind him. “Lou, are you just going to follow me everywhere today?” He asked with a chuckle and shook his head. When Carlos finally relaxed on the couch, he found himself enjoying the company of Lou2, who had found comfort in lying on Carlos’s chest. For once, Carlos was not freaked out by his presence. He was enjoying him, enjoying the company, and honestly, enjoying the bonding they’d been doing throughout the day. He was lying on the couch reading, Lou2 perched on his chest and his fingers caressing the creature’s head and back when TK came home. Carlos’s attention immediately went to the door when he heard it open. “Hey, baby. How was your day?” He asked as he marked his spot in the book and closed it, setting it down on the coffee table.

“Yeah I know. I’m not sure why I suddenly like this little guy. But he’s kinda cute.” He said with a smile as he looked down at Lou2 and gave his back a little rub. “No rush, just mentioning it’s about time.” He shrugged and snuggled closer. “I was going to make dinner but we need to shop. We don’t have a whole lot. So I was thinking of ordering something. Or maybe we could go out.” Tilting his head to look at TK, he asked, “what do you wanna do?”

TK bit his bottom lip. "You really have to let that night go." He shook his head. "Remember the first night you brought him home and he got out of the box. Took us a while to find him." He started to pull out his phone the second Carlos said they were ordering in. "I'm in the mood for pizza and garlic sticks." He was already ordering on an app when Carlos asked his questions. "Let's catch up on one of our shows." A minute later and he was done ordering. "It'll be here in 20 minutes."

"Maybe you're kind of moving past it since you're doing pretty good with Lou today." He reached down and gave Carlos a pat on the knee. "True. He does have his spots that he likes." He added the dessert and anything else Carlos might have wanted and then he set his phone down when he was done. He got cozy next to his husband and watched the show until the knock came. "Got it!" He quickly got up and answered the door. A minute later and he had everything in his hand and he was setting it all on the coffee table. "What do you want to drink?" he asked as he went into the kitchen and grabbed some paper plate, napkins, and their drinks (once Carlos said what he wanted). He walked back over to the couch and sat back down again.

“Yeah. I think I might be. Honestly, I never thought that would happen.” He chuckled. The knock to the door came and, though he was hungry and ready to eat, he gave a grunt when TK got up. He’d been comfortable with TK there. “Just a water, please.” He answered and sat up more. Picking Lou up, he set him beside him on the couch, but the little guy just crawled back over and onto his lap. Carlos just chuckled and shook his head. “I think this lizard is becoming attached to me, babe.” He laughed and opened the boxes in front of him, licking his lips as he set eyes on the pizza. When he got his plate, he piled three slices onto the plate and some of the garlic bread as well. “Mmm, smells so good.” He said and took a bite. “Seriously, Lou2 hasn’t left my side all day. I don’t get it.” Looking down at the lizard, “Why are you so attached to me today, huh?” He asked the creature, obviously not expecting an answer. “Maybe I smell good.” He laughed.

TK looked down and saw Lou crawling back close to Carlos. "Hmm, maybe you're just really warm and he wants your warmth. I don't blame him. You're a pretty good heater when it's cold." He put a few pieces of pizza on his plate and some garlic bread before leaning back and digging in. "Don't let him try to eat your food. He will try."

None for you.” He laughed and looked to TK. “I did just feed him not too long ago, so hopefully he’s good.” After finishing his food, he set his plate on the table and moved Lou2 to his shoulder as he stood up. “I’m gonna put him to bed. He’s been out all day and I’m not feeling like babysitting him anymore. "I don't need an electric blanket when I have you around," he said with a grin. TK was eating much slower than Carlos. He was either paying attention to the TV or watching Lou, making sure he wasn't trying to do anything he shouldn't be doing. When Carlos put Lou back in his enclosure, he couldn't help but watch. He never really thought he would see those two bonding, ever. It was good to see. "Mhmm, better." He kissed back, then looked down at his plate for a moment. “Well you should have inhaled it! Now I have to wait.” He laughed as he teased him. Finally, he finished eating and Carlos leaned in, kissing him deeply. “Mmm, oh I’m gonna have dessert.” He smirked against his lips as he kissed him some more. After a moment, he parted and stood from the couch. Taking TK’s hand, he tugged him to his feet. “C’mon. Let’s go to the bedroom. Don’t need Alex walking in on anything.” He chuckled and tugged TK to the room, closing the door behind them and attacking TK with his lips and a moan.

TK should have finished off his pizza a bit slower just to torture Carlos a little bit. Maybe he'll do that the next time Carlos complains about how slow he was eating. When he was kissed, he kissed back, looking up at Carlos when he broke the kiss and stood up. He took Carlos's hand and was pulled up from the couch. "We wouldn't want that to happen..." Lost in kissing his husband, Carlos’s feet shuffled back as TK directed them toward the bed.
