Asriel was hardly surprised, though. Ever since he'd been brought to San Francisco, he had been quick to discover that life here was consistently chaotic. Naturally, a part of Asriel liked that. He hated for any part of his life to be boring and stale.
But as much as he enjoyed all of the craziness , he couldn't help but to wonder if it were all just meant to be a distraction. It had been months now since he had arrived to this city. And now what? Was he truly doomed to be stuck here for all time?
If he were, there was one silver lining to all of this and his name was Mobius.
Their last date had gone well but it had been over-shadowed by their curses from that morning's evil breakfast. While they had both hoped that this time, things would be quiet for them, they knew their chances were slim.
"All things considered," Asriel drawled on as the two of them stared out from the bar windows in the old pub that he'd found for them called the 'Delirium'. "It could be worse," he finished as he looked over to Mobius with a side-ways grin. They had just managed to make it inside earlier but now Asriel was wondering how they were going to leave without getting a face full of beaks and gross bird feet.
