Well, Marshals are federal officers, but we are assigned locally.

You can ask as many questions as you want to ask. I'll answer as honestly as I can. The answer why I wanted to become a Marshal is complicated. I grew up in a backwoods Kentucky coal mining town, and there were basically two career paths laid out for me. Working in the mines until the dust slowly suffocated me, or marching in my daddy's criminally inclined footsteps. After the mines nearly got me prematurely, my aunt gave me a handful of cash and a ticket out of town, and I decided to stick it to the man and become his worst nightmare. What low life criminal wants to tell his buddies that his only son is a decorated Federal Marshal? Alos, catching bad guys is a high you can't get from drugs.
I have had to haul kids in before. I've also had to search the hollar looking for runaways. But I have never personally seen to the arrest and prosecution of a minor.
