Consider the following:

I suck and super don't have Alexis and David's awesome PR/Promotional Powers.

In short, I put up a bunch of flyers locally, but forgot to drop the info anywhere at The Station. That said, hey! y'all are invited to the grand opening of the community centers on Friday, September 1st, in Tenderloin, Visitacion Valley, and of course one right here in the Mission District. Obviously, you don't gotta go to all of them in one evening, but everyone is welcome to visit them at some point or another.

For the open house, we're having mini carnivals with games, prizes, food and entertainment starting at 5 PM and going to Midnight. A (cheap) cash bar will be available with valid ID after 9 PM, with all proceeds going right back into the centers. Admission to the grand opening is free, and all Station residents are already members. I'll send out the websites separately, but you'll find the schedules are full of cool stuff to do. Most of it is free or pay what you can, with some classes charging a nominal fee for supplies. "Scholarships" are open to anyone who wants or needs them.

Okay, so I was totes gonna try to make this a surprise, but I realize that saying there was going to be entertainment and not asking you band guys to play might sound a little insulting.

I have a really good reason, though...

Thanks to the machinations of your guardians, me, and your Auntie Yelena (second billing, natch), I'm pretty sure you might be too busy to go to the carnival, because you've got a music studio to check out.
