Everyone does things at their own pace. There's just pressure from previous generations about how we should be because of the pressures on them and so forth. (I know not everyone from a previous generation is this way, of course.) We get asked from a young age what we want to be when we grow up, and there's this unspoken pressure we need to know. We need to have a plan. But not everything falls into the plan. And then you add this weird idea that at 18 we're adults but we also have no experience being "adults" but we're supposed to just be and know>? It's ridiculous.
I think if you want to be doing something, you can and should. But I don't think you have to be. This whole being here thing takes getting used to, and there's no right or wrong way to do that. (We're excluding very illegal, damaging ways here. Those are wrong, for obvious reasons.) There's just the way that works for you.
