Sixteen. You'll have "student hours" until you're 18 or have graduated high school, whichever comes first.

Yup. Here's what I'm thinking. You're my assistant and then you get to help me with things I actually need help with and the rest of the time you wander and talk to the tech guys and let them inevitably adopt you. They LOVE talking about their tech.

Hey so um. Do not get me wrong, I love you for giving him this opportunity, he really needs something good and stable.

But just be careful. He was nearly killed by a werewolf. I'm pretty sure he has no idea you are and I don't know how he'd handle that news.

Or maybe hanging out with someone awesome who showed him empathy and kindness and got him a job doing what he loves will show him that not everyone is like the one who took his hand.

But I've never been a 17 year old boy so I could also be wrong.

I'll try to be careful. Either way, he wasn't going to be able to work too closely with me for the actual show because of the hours so it's not that big a deal to switch up what I was planning to do with him.

Probably just techie things. I'm really good at that stuff. I am really interested in how Radios and the likes work. I used to run a whole broadcast in the morning at the Camp I worked at.

Think they'll still pay me though?

I'm actually... kinda really bad at being on the radio itself. I mostly just stuck to the announcements the director gave me.


Yeah. They kinda are. But I mean, I didn't make much at camp and I almost died, so I'll take just about anything.

I think Ben took apart the refrigerator once when we were kids and I assure you, we're pretty smart but even the rest of us were like "ummmmmm what???" So yeah, I'm pretty mystified.

Well. Us kids are pretty great. If I do say so myself. Our dad was just always putting us in dangerous situations for very little recognition.

I stopped asking questions about how Ben does things he does a long time ago. But there were pieces absolutely everywhere and I swear I think he got every single one back in place.

My dad was a crazy rich eccentric old asshole who adopted a bunch of superpowered babies to turn them into superheroes and didn't care about their physical or mental health while he did it. So...maybe.
