Sleepwalking has various triggers, including stress, anxiety, not getting enough sleep, sickness, and certain medications and drugs, to name a few. You're more likely to be a sleepwalker if someone in your family is, such as one or both of your parents. There are also underlying conditions that could cause it, but if it's more recent, the stress of being here is a potential culprit. However, seeking medical help is probably best if you're worried it's more than a one off thing. And if you think it's a trauma response of some kind, you'll want to find a doctor who can recommend someone who can handle dissociative states (which may not always have a traumatic source, but dissociation tends to be one way the brain tries to protect itself, especially if it's an abnormal dissociative episode).
