"I don't think I need comfort," she said thinking about it for a moment. Zekk had been nothing but kind to her since he bought her. He had given her her own room, a closetful of pretty clothes. He treated her nicely and had yet to raise an unkind had to her. "I was worried yes. But I think it's because I'm not used to this much kindness. I sometimes fear it's too good to be true."
She was happy though, glad she was able to ease his stress on some small way. Even if it was just sitting here with him. Wanting to hear him laugh again and cheer him up, the girl offered a sheepish smile.
"This morning, when the sunlight started to come in through the window..it caught some of those necklaces you bought me and it made them shine like diamonds. I got so distracted looking at them I walked right into the wall!"
