Summary: Justin has to run some errands and has to hand deliver some paperwork to the aurors in charge, and runs into an old friend.
Justin felt that the amount of paperwork he was having to deal with every day was growing exponentially. The census had only just been the start of what looked to be dozens of new projects the Ministry were taking into consideration, and Justin couldn't help but feel excited for all this new rebuilding.
There was the new decree that wanted all former Death Eaters to register and fully disclose their details. Justin felt a little safer in the knowledge they'd know where all those who weren't in jail were going to have some way of being checked on.
How any of them managed to stay out of jail, he had no idea. No doubt they would all claim that they were under Imperius, or that they were coerced into it. He shook his head.
He needed to drop some paperwork off to the Aurors in charge, and in the process he hoped he might see what had happened to Susan's application to become an Auror. He was sad that she unexpectedly cancelled their drinks the other night, but he was hopeful she would make it later. She was an odd girl. Odd, but one he would always make time for.
As he walked down the street, he wondered at first why there was so much noise, and so many people wearing green. It wasn't until they started to spill out of the Leaky Cauldron with green faces, waving green sparks from their wands did he realise it was St Patrick's day.
Oh joy. Drunken revelers roaming the streets. Just what they all needed. That and green beer. He managed to make it into the Auror's offices, and deliver his paperwork with no fuss.
As he headed back out, he thought about getting some lunch, and a green beer or two. But he nearly ran into another wizard just as he came out of the door.
"Oh sorry," he said automatically. "I'm such a klutz at times." But when he looked up he spotted a very familiar face, and he grinned widely. "Hey there Harry, long time no see. How are you?"
