He had, in fact, not worn a dress, but he did make it a point to where his tight red skinny jeans because she was a red head and it just made sense. With it, he wore a white button down shirt with a black jacket over it, the collar turned up at the neck. His boots were pointed, his eyeliner was on and he was ready, but not before a quick spray of expensive cologne he'd been given for Christmas five years ago by his mom that he hardly ever used.

When the door bell rang, he had to step over Jack the Ripper and avoid the Milky Way singer guy (if he was the singer, whatever, he didn't care) blaring out whiny music in the background. He answered the door for the pretty, fire haired teacher and did his best smile which wasn't very good because his smile looked like crap any way you sliced it.

"Hello, hello," he greeted.

Spirit Pond had a nice breeze coming up from it that night so when he got out of the car, he breathed it in. He knew he'd be locked up soon, so he wanted to get as much free air as possible. Checkers removed his coat, set it on the roof of the car, then went to Nat's door to open it for her, trying to be a gentleman.

"May I have this dance?" he asked, bowing surprisingly gracefully. Oh, yes, Check could dance. In fact, he was much better than average at it.

She had just been getting things together when Check came around to her side of the car. It was a surprise when it was opened for her, but she did slip out, her smile warm in his direction.

"Thank you," she said, and took his hand at the offer. "Let's."

As she stood, Check smiled and led her to their own grassy dance floor. He didn't know if she knew any actual dances, but he gave her a little spin to find out if she did or not.

Nat spun easily, gracefully when he twirled her, then moved in against him immediately afterwards, hand settling at his shoulder, holding his in the other.

"I thought you said you couldn't dance," she pointed out cheekily. If they were going to dance properly, she wouldn't be fantastic, but did have a general idea of what she was doing.

"Oops?" Check offered, not surprised to see she knew just how to dance, her fire hair spinning with her. She was lovely in the night light, or really, any light, but her pale skin looked like porcelain in moonlight.

Check danced with her, but nothing fancy. "I like this date better," he commented.

"Better than what?" she asked, curious. It was a good date though. Being out here, just the two of them, no one bothering them and no one else to be found nearby... it was nice. Romantic even.

"You really are a good dancer."
