I'm finding it hard to decide if it's a good idea to go back to school already because of the attack on the ministry. Dangerous things keep happening, and we may just be safer at home with our families, rather than at the school where one student has already died. My father says that this is reminiscent of some of the things that happened the last time Nyx appeared. We must be vigilant

[Private to Ben]

So think you want to ride with me on the train, or are you gonna be busy with your slytherin friends?

While I'm so glad you two think it's funny to mock. I'm not afraid. I'm wary of the situation and we should be. There's something to be said about fear being a big moving factor and negative, but so is blind bravery.

Not mocking. Fact. Life isn't easy. Not living because of fear, running? Moronic.

It's not running it's looking at all the options and deciding if it's the best course of action.

If something is to happen, probably doesn't matter where you are.

Ministry isn't safe, then nowhere is. Cannot live by constantly hiding.

"The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whose only thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of the kingdom." Art of War.

Knowing when to retreat, when to take account of your opponent; knowing when to admit defeat in a battle, to recollect yourself in order to win in a war, is essential.

Standing up just to prove your bravery, is just as foolish as constantly hiding. Holding back, and thinking, can be valuable in a fight. Don't be so fast to call an action moronic when it can, at times, make strategic sense.

Inciting fear means inciting actions caused by fear. Slytherin. Don't care about bravery. Just rather not get hurt because of the excessive fears of others.

I'm sorry, blind bravery? You think that not curtailing it home at the first sign of trouble and thinking that its ridiculous to say something tantamount to inciting panic is blind bravery? Oh my dear sweet, sweet little Gryffindor. If only I took you serious enough to actually care to dismantle your little brain and all of its naive little notions. But sure, go ahead, think its a positive to incite fear. I'll gladly sit back and watch that.

Perhaps you shouldn't be so stupid, little girl, to pretend to be braver than your fear. Fear is in everyone, even the brave, they simply act on it differently. It's not inciting fear to take precaution, it's called being preventative.

Fear is something that should be embraced, and handled with care. It exists, it's real, and you use it to fight or to run, you use it to keep you alive. Only those with a lack of experience in actual life, deny fear and its strength.

Don't speak naively about naivete, when you show a great deal of it yourself.

Do you not read history books? Do you want to pretend you just don't know what happened last time? Call me naive or fearful all you want, Ben. Sit here and write these gallant defenses of your little cousin, personally I find it adorable. Personally - I also don't care.

Lia warned everyone that saying things like Rey did was idiotic, and it is.

Also might want to up your reading comprehension there, buddy, I didn't say a damn thing about fear. I only mocked the idea that some how curtailing it home is meant to be a positive. But sure, my angry little Ravenclaw, slander me as if I'm some stupid firstie who has no idea that fear can be useful.

A student has died on the grounds of the school, as such that proves the teachers and staff do not have everything under control here. And I have doubts they are capable of keeping what control they have left; what's more, there are likely many supporters within these walls. What does that prove? Many aren't safe here, in this school, because of that.

The idea of not coming to the school, and putting all of our future Aurors and ministers in one spot? Isn't a terrible idea. It's not hiding, it's precautionary.

Rey didn't incite anything, she wasn't claiming 'the war is upon us, the sky is falling, everyone run', she was simply offering a differing voice. That does not make her stupid, in any way. Instead, it simply makes her a counter point, and that's something that's necessary in debate, wouldn't you agree?

You mentioned that what she was doing was inciting it, and she isn't.

And no, you're not some stupid little firstie Tracey. You're worse, because they have an excuse of youth.

As if they ever had everything under control or as if people didn't always have their own thoughts and motives. History repeats itself. Every. Single. Time. Lather rinse repeat.

Its hiding.

Telling a bunch of hormonal teenagers that hiding is a good idea, is inciting something. We aren't known to be the most rational and forethought conscious of age groups. If you think making statements like that are just positive little truths with no consequences that don't act as agents in all of this, you're even more naive and hopeless than I thought. And here I thought Ravenclaws were supposed to be studious.

I'm only worse if you put words in my mouth, still doing that I see, buddy?

I'm not inciting anything. You're the one who took what I said to incite anything. I'm talking about an honest threat. Someone did die at our school o once this year from an attack and there's been another one on our government! How do you not think we should be wary rather than blindly thinking that we should all go back to school this exact moment without any sort of upgrade to our security?

Take it as you will, but I do not appreciate the insult for being cautious.
